Almost 50 speakers from around the world have been confirmed so far for the livestream event, History for Ukraine, running this weekend in support of the Ukrainian Humanitarian Crisis.
It begins at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time on Saturday, March 26, and continues through Sunday, March 27, with more than 24 hours of programming.
Among the speakers are a number of well-known genealogists, including Dave Annal, Jen Baldwin, Fiona Brooker, Annette Burke Lyttle, Michelle Chubenko, Rachel Croucher, Amy Johnson Crow, Shauna Hicks, Cheri Hudson Passey, Michelle Patient, Judy G. Russell, D. Joshua Taylor, and Maureen Taylor. Dr. Nick Barratt, who is known for his work on the television program, Who Do You Think You Are? in the UK, will also be speaking.
The program schedule is still a work in progress, so we’re encouraged to check the website often for updates.
The event will be livestreamed on the History for Ukraine YouTube channel.
There’s no charge to watch, and throughout the live stream, they’ll be inviting you to donate to their JustGiving page, with 100 percent of donations being passed to the British Red Cross Society’s Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
Spread the word.
