American Ancestors shares ‘Understanding Irish Land Divisions’ presentation on YouTube

About 15 minutes before Rhonda R. McClure’s presentation, Understanding Irish Land Divisions, was set to begin on Zoom on Friday, host American Ancestors/New England Historic Genealogical Society sent an email to registrants to advise it would also be simulcast on YouTube due to popularity.

If you weren’t among the registrants, don’t worry. The recording of this presentation is now on YouTube.

Ireland has a unique and rather confusing system of land divisions, all of which need to be known and understood to effectively and accurately look for your ancestors. These divisions often result in confusion and frustration when trying to look for records. In this webinar, Senior Genealogist Rhonda R. McClure provides an overview of the various Irish land divisions, discusses their importance in family history research, and offers guidance as to what records exist within each division and where you might find them.
