Registers of Chinese Immigration to Canada, 1885–1949 is a new Canadian indexing project on FamilySearch.
The faster the collection is indexed, the sooner it will be searchable.
This indexing project, however, has been classified as advanced, perhaps because of the Chinese names and some of the hard-to-read pages. If you are new to indexing, FamilySearch recommends you choose a beginner project, and you may find those for other countries.
To find an indexing project, look for Find a Project under the Indexing Tab at the top of FamilySearch’s home page or use this direct link. Right now, it appears even the English-language indexing projects are considered advanced, such as the Irish church records in Fermanagh, Antrim, and Armagh where some of my people lived.
