Annual General Meeting and Member Presentations
The Oxford Branch will begin the monthly meeting with the AGM and follow with three short member presentations:
After writing her book about the four Zurbrigg brothers who were bakers in Ingersoll, Alayne Klesor found out they were not the first. She will talk about early Ingersoll bakers, Robert Vance and James Dominey.
Pauline Graf will show how she and her daughter Chloe, with the help of Oxford Branch volunteers, were able to uncover a rich history previously unknown by the family about her great-grandmother Jean Selby Blair in Looking for Jean.
Liz Dommasch and Megan Lockhart of the Oxford County Archives, will talk about several projects they are working on for 2022, including the Tillsonburg 150th Anniversary online exhibit on the history of businesses in the town, which will include a searchable database.

Ontario Land Records by Dr. Fraser Dunford
The Kawartha Branch and the Curve Lake First Nation Cultural Centre will host the presentation, Ontario Land Records, based on Dr. Fraser Dunford’s book, Ontario Land Records: A Beginner’s Guide.

Case Study: A 19th Century Ontario Enigma by Janice Nickerson
This is a case study based on five years’ worth of research into the family of Lorenzo White of Pickering, Ontario. Janice will walk the audience step-by-step through a very difficult research project that ultimately revealed both a fascinating story and important lessons learned. Audience members will learn about a wide range of Ontario records and strategies for overcoming seemingly impossible research roadblocks. Registration required.
The formal presentation will run until about 2:00 p.m. with Q&A. This will be followed by an informal sharing of research problems, etc. from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m.

What’s New at the Archives of Ontario by Lindsey Winstone
Join Archives of Ontario archivist Lindsey Winstone as she gives an overview for conducting research on their databases as well as new digitized content to support research from home. She will also discuss their new online booking tool and what new processes are in place for in-person visits to the Archives. Registration required.
