Genealogy webinars at Allen County Public Library — live and recorded for YouTube

The Allen County Public Library Genealogy Center has hosted some excellent webinars this year. They’ve done so in the past, and they continue to do so.

This week, they will host the free webinar, Breaking through the Brick Wall: 14 Steps for Re-thinking and Solving Genealogical Problems, presented by John Beatty, on Thursday, February 11, at 6:30 p.m. Eastern time.

This talk will examine a difficult case study of an early Ohio pioneer and will show the steps that were undertaken to solve his identify and locate his parentage and family. The same methodology can be applied to other difficult genealogical problems.

Registration is required.

Other genealogy events and webinars scheduled for February are listed in the left panel on the ACPL Genealogy Center’s home page.

Scroll down the library’s YouTube channel page to see many other webinars. Entering keywords, such as genealogy, research, DNA, or military, in the search box next to the magnifying glass will produce a number of results. (Use the search box under the library’s name and next to About. If you use the search box at the top of the page, it will search all YouTube channels.)
