For people with Greek ancestry, the pandemic and stay-at-home orders may become more tolerable this week.
The first International Greek Ancestry Conference will be offered virtually for free on Youtube from January 29 to 31.
Topics in the five live-streamed presentations range from the Greek War of Independence, the Greek diaspora, and new advances in genealogical DNA testing.
The conference was organized in part by Gregory Kontos, the founder of Greek Ancestry, a largely free online service where those of Greek descent can search for their ancestors’ records and learn tips about how to create their own family tree.
Read more about the conference and the schedule of presentations in The National Herald article, International Greek Ancestry Conference Jan. 29-31.
