Home access to Ancestry through libraries extended until March 31, 2021

While gatherings with family and friends are strongly discouraged this holiday season, there is good news for those interested in exploring their family history — for free.

Public libraries in North America and Britain have announced on social media that home access for their library cardholders to the library edition of Ancestry has been extended until March 31, 2021, courtesy of Proquest and its partner, Ancestry.

This means, if your library offered onsite access to Ancestry before the pandemic, home access is probably available for an additional three more months with your library card.
