Geneanet, the website based in France, invites people to participate in the indexing of Canadian WWI personnel records, from November 5 to 15.
While these personnel records have already been indexed and made searchable by first and last name and regimental number on Library and Archives Canada’s website, Geneanet is taking the indexing a step further.
Volunteers for the Geneanet project will also index the date and location of birth, occupation, parents’ first and last names, and spouse’s first and last names.
There are more than 600,000 personnel records.
