Calgary woman wants to reunite 140-year-old family bible with family originally from Ottawa and the United States

If you’re related to Sarah Rothwell (née Sheppard) and her husband, John Rothwell from Ottawa, professional organizer Bonnie Gerard in Calgary has a family bible and she’s looking for you.

According to Ms. Gerard, who found the bible in a client’s home, “This bride was originally from the United States, and married a man from Ottawa,” Gerard said. “The husband of the owner of this book, Sarah Rothwell, presented it to her in 1882. And then throughout, as many people did, they used their family bible to record births and deaths.”

The story about how the Bible was found and a link to Ms. Gerard’s email address are in this CFRA Radio report.
