Irish ancestors? Short attention span? PRONI’s short how-to YouTube videos fit the bill

If your ancestors came from Ireland and your attention span is limited to about six minutes of learning — which is not unusual during the pandemic — the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) has produced a series of short how-two videos for its YouTube channel that provide just enough information to help with your research.

As of yesterday, PRONI had posted five videos on its YouTube channel, presented by Gemma Eaton and Janice Holmes. Let’s hope they plan to post more.

  • How to Use Online Valuation Revision Books
  • How to Use Online Historical Maps Viewer
  • How to Use the Irish Genealogy Website (civil records)
  • How to Use the Irish census of 1901 and 1911 Online
  • Using the PRONI e-Catalogue

Look for these videos on the PRONI YouTube channel. While on the channel, take note of the dozens of other presentations and lectures available to watch for free.
