Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec (BAnQ) recently announced the appointment of Isabelle Dubois as chair of its board of directors.

Ms. Dubois brings more than a dozen years of experience as a manager in the public and private sectors. Since 2015, she had been the borough manager in Quebec City. She holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in political science and a certificate in public relations, and she studied law. She sat on the board of directors of the Palais Montcalm as well as that of the Caisse d’économie Desjardins of municipal staff.
Ms. Dubois said, “I’m happy to put my experience in public administration and my knowledge of the political and communications world at BAnQ’s service. With my colleagues on the board and the president and chief executive officer, we will continue to promote this pillar of knowledge and culture and make sure to maximize accessibility for all citizens of Quebec. ”
Jean-Louis Roy, president and CEO of BAnQ, said they count on Ms. Dubois’ support of the financial consolidation of the institution, accelerated involvement in the digital era and artificial intelligence, and the renovation of the Saint-Sulpice library.
