Partly (or solely?) in response to Brexit, Chris Paton is bringing back his Scottish GENES blog after he replaced it with the British GENES blog that eventually became known simply as the GENES blog.

For his followers who are concerned he will no longer write about genealogy resources and research outside Scotland, they shouldn’t be worried. That won’t be the case.
Mr. Paton explained on his blog the reason behind his decision and what the resurrected Scottish GENES will contain.
“(The blog is) from an Irish genealogist and blogger who has made his home in Scotland, with a fascination in his two areas of interest, Scotland and Ireland, but also in our closest neighbours in England and Wales and across the EU, and to Scotland’s and Ireland’s historic and continuing worldwide disaporas.”
