Last call to submit presentation proposals for BIFHSGO’s conference in Ottawa

Time is running out.

If you’re toying with the idea of submitting a presentation proposal for the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s (BIFHSGO) conference in September, you should consider doing so. Now.

BIFHSGO is still looking for proposals for its 26th annual conference, September 25 to 27, 2020, in Ottawa, Ontario.

The themes for this year are Irish family history and researching female ancestors — but you don’t need to limit yourself to those themes. The conference program committee is open to reviewing proposals on other topics, such as DNA and research methodology.

Lectures (60 minutes speaking time) are held on the Saturday and Sunday. Full- or half-day workshops (hands-on) or seminars are held on the Friday before the conference.

Speakers are compensated with an honorarium and travelling expenses.

Details on the information required in proposals and the submission form are available on BIFHSGO’s website.

The deadline is January 31, but the program committee can give you until the beginning of next week.
