Alberta Genealogical Society’s Edmonton branch launches free name index

The Edmonton Branch of the Alberta Genealogical Society announced late yesterday it has launched its newest online resource, called ANI (Alberta Name Index).

ANI offers a simple unified search for Alberta residents named in various sources, including probates, local histories, obituaries, coroner records, and land records.

The indexes are the result of many years of volunteer labour, and the branch said more will be added soon.
