Next set of BC birth registrations to be released in three years

In a blog post published earlier this week about BC Archives adding marriages from 1943 and deaths from 1998 to its website, I wrote that births registered in 1904 “should appear next on the website.”

I was mistaken.

In an email reply to my question about when the 1904 birth registrations will be available online, a BC Archives rep wrote that the 1904 births will only be released in 2022. BC births are released after 120 years.
