One week left for Ontario Ancestors conference early bird registration discount

The early bird discount for the Ontario Ancestors (Ontario Genealogical Society) 2019 conference ends March 31.

The Breaking Down Genealogical Barriers conference will run June 20 to 23 at the London Convention Centre in downtown London, Ontario.

With the event being held downtown, organizers hope genealogists will find the venue “more accessible” than in past years when it was held on a college campus.

Local tours will be available Thursday, June 20, workshops on Friday, and lectures on Saturday and Sunday.

Conference delegates and the public will be able to attend the Family History Show, which is Canada’s largest genealogy marketplace of vendors, archives, and societies. Admission to the marketplace will be free to all.

Keynote speakers at the conference will be David Allen Lambert, chief genealogist of American Ancestors and the New England Historic Genealogical Society, Mags Gaulden of Grandma’s Genes, Maya Hirshman, curator of The Secrets of Radar Museum, and Stephen Young, deputy chief genealogical officer of FamilySearch. Details, early bird pricing, and registration are available on the Ontario Ancestors conference site.
