OGS to host Family Tree Maker presentations in seven Ontario cities — for free

The Ontario Genealogical Society (OGS) and its branches will host seven, free two-hour presentations on how to use Family Tree Maker (FTM), from September 24 to October 2.

FTM is one of the most popular family tree building software programs.

The presentations will be delivered by Mark Olsen, who is a software representative at MacKiev, the company that owns FTM, in Windsor, Brantford, Bowmanville, Peterborough, Kingston, Richmond Hill, and Chatham.

BIFHSGO seminar sold out
Mr. Olsen will also present a longer seminar, called Getting the Most Out of Family Tree Maker 2017: Tips, Tricks and Other Important and Fun Updates, at the British Isles Family History Society of Greater Ottawa’s conference on September 28, and it has already sold out. The cost for the seminar was $50 or $45 for society members. Mr. Olsen will also be in the conference’s public marketplace, selling products.
