The Community Archives of Belleville and Hastings County in Belleville, Ontario recently reached a milestone in its project to digitize 8,500 Hastings County Historical Society photographs.
So far, almost 60 percent of the photos have been scanned, and 50 percent of them are online on Flickr.
The Community Archives tweeted, “Our summer student Aron is busy demolishing barriers to access.”
There is also a collection of fire insurance maps of Belleville, from 1878 to 1942, on the Flickr page.
