Toronto Public Library’s interactive map provides historical resources

If strolling virtually down the streets of Sidewalk Labs’ Old Toronto, with more than 30,000 historical photos, wasn’t enough of a distraction, take a look at the Toronto Public Library’s interactive map of the city where you can discover historical photos and resources for dozens of neighbourhoods.

To make it easier to figure out which neighbourhood an ancestor lived in, use the search box to enter a street name. The search box can also be used to find buildings, such as Casa Loma, Massey Hall, and the Guild Inn.

Nice and easy way to search through the libraries archive. My only wish would be that the photos be available as a gallery, so that you can click “next” instead of having to go back and then click on another photo.
