Still more online presentations from RootsTech

The learning opportunities from RootsTech continue to appear online, with a few new presentations added here and there.

RootsTech has bundled together several presentations about DNA, including at least one, A DNA Match with No Tree? No Problem!, with the very enthusiastic team of Lisa Louise Cooke and Diahan Southard, that was not live streamed.

Ms. Cooke’s presentation, Reconstruct Your Ancestor’s World with Google, is also available to watch. If you have yet to attend one of her Google talks, and even if you have, take a look at this one.

The handouts for these and many other presentations are still available through the RootsTech app.

Thanks to a tip from Jan M. on the Genealogy à la carte Facebook group, you don’t need a mobile device to download the handouts. From your computer, you can go to the app developer’s website where you can easily open and look at them. To save a handout to your computer, Ms. M. said, “The PDFs will save with the long opaque ID used by the app, so you may want to rename them.”

Thanks for the additional information. By the way, you can even download the handouts for presentations that are not available. There are a number of sessions with topics that I was interested in and I found great reference material in the handouts.
