Ontario Genealogical Society Toronto Branch offers four courses this winter

Ontario Genealogical SocietyThe Toronto Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society is offering four courses to choose from during the winter months, beginning in January. With the exception of the Early Ontario Land Records course at the Ontario Archives, all are being held at the Toronto Reference Library.

Registration is now open for:

Introduction to Genetic Genealogy
Three Wednesdays starting January 10 or three Saturdays starting January 13. This course is being offered twice due to popular demand. For genealogists with well-researched family trees that they wish to confirm and expand with genetic evidence. The emphasis will be on using Family Finder, the autosomal DNA test from Family Tree DNA.

Putting Your Family Tree Online
Three Wednesdays starting January 31. Learn about the many options for putting your family information online so that others can find it, and how to decide which is right for you.
Instructor: Marian Press

Hands-on Early Ontario Land Records
Three Thursdays starting February 1. Find out how to navigate and use the land record collections at the Archives of Ontario, and put your skills into practice with expert guidance.

Introduction to Genealogy and Family History
A fast-paced one-day course on Saturday, February 10. Discover the essential records and techniques for family history research. Learn how to extract and evaluate data and work towards genealogical conclusions.

      I agree, it does sound like a good course. Unfortunately, it appears to be in-person only. You may want to contact the Ontario Genealogical Society directly. Note that OGS offers a free webinar every month. Info about the webinars and registration are available on their website.
