Desmond Morton’s lecture on French Canada’s impact in WWI on YouTube

The McGill Institute for the Study of Canada held a special event earlier this month in honour of Dr. Desmond Morton, Hiram Mills Emeritus Professor and Founding Director of the Institute (1994-2001). During the event, Dr. Morton presented a 30-minute lecture, entitled French Canada’s Impact in the First World War, and this lecture is now available on the MISC McGill YouTube channel.

Mr. Morton is one of Canada’s leading military historians and author of more than 35 books.

The September 14 event also celebrated Dr, Morton’s contributions to Canadian studies and his 80th birthday.

Thanks to Andrea Eidenger who brought this video to my attention in her weekly Canadian History Roundup.

Andrea Eidinger’s roundups and blog posts are simply amazing, aren’t they? I often lose a couple of hours reading/watching items!
