Genealogists can join the growing list of complainers who are moaning about Montreal’s Formula E race — the ePrix — this weekend because the Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec will be forced to close its doors July 29 and 30.
The route will bring the electric cars into the hub of the city’s summer activities, passing near Old Montreal where the archives are located, the Gay Village, and the Place des Festivals. The cars in the race can apparently reach speeds of about 220 kilometres per hour.
