The organizers of the second annual Great Canadian Genealogy Summit, taking place in Halifax, October 13 to 15, 2017, have issued a call for papers.
They are looking for proposals about Canadian family history topics of interest, in particular:
• German Canadian research
• African Nova Scotian or African Canadian research
• Acadian research
• British Home Children research
They want original and new presentations that “will help attendees learn and grow in their research of their ancestors in Canada, or Canada and their homeland. Presentations should not have been presented other than at the local level prior to CanGen Summit 2017.”
Individuals who submit proposals must reside in Canada.
The proposal submission deadline is January 20, 2017. Submission details can be found on the CanGen Summit website.
