A foundation based in the Netherlands is looking for the relatives of World War Two pilot William Falconer Younger from Toronto.
The Stichting Missing Airmen Memorial Foundation wants to make contact with Mr. Young’s family as there are plans to erect a monument in 2017 on his behalf and for other missing airmen.
According to an article in Inside Toronto, “(Mr. Young) was a student at Riverdale Collegiate when he entered the Service in the early 1940s.
“Young was born in Toronto on April 19, 1921 and the last known address of his family, dating back to 1942, is 631 Rhodes Ave.”
The foundation believes it is important to keep the memory of the Air War alive. It aims to gather as much information as possible about the aircraft and the airmen that came down over the province of Friesland during WWII.
