Drouin Genealogical Institute renames its English website

genealogy-quebecThe Drouin Genealogical Institute has changed the English name of its website from Quebec Records to Genealogy Quebec to make it clearer about its purpose and to better align with the French version, which has always been Généalogie Québec.

The LAFRANCE section on the Genealogy Quebec website is an index with links to view the following records:

Catholic marriages in Quebec, 1621 – 1915
Catholic baptisms and burials in Quebec, 1621 – 1849
Protestant marriages, Quebec, 1760-1849

Three types of subscriptions are available: 24 hours for $5; one month for $13; and one year for $100.

Access to online obituaries
Free access to almost two million obituaries, published in Canadian newspapers from 1999 to the present, is available on Genealogy Quebec in the Internet Obituaries section. No subscription is required.
