Who Do You Think You Are? double header Sunday

This Sunday will be the season finale of the current season of TLC’s Who Do You Think You Are?, and they will be airing two new episodes back-to-back: Chris Noth at 8:00 p.m. and Lea Michele at 9:00 p.m.

Mr. Noth follows a relative’s trail to Portugal and Ireland, and finds a man who endured harsh oppression, but rose up to fight in one of the fiercest battles of all time and became a war hero.

A 1900 US Federal Census reveals that actor Chris Noth’s great-grandfather was born in Ottawa in 1855 — and I suspect that may be the only mention of the True North Strong and Free.

Actress Lea Michele unravels secrets of her Jewish roots, discovering a great-grandmother lost without a country; relatives fighting to be together; ancestors suffering devastating loss; and long lost family reuniting after decades of separation. She remained in New York for her research.
