To my friends in Newfoundland and Labrador, it is time to look inside those long-forgotten boxes stashed away in your closets, drawers, attics, and basements. The Newfoundland and Labrador Archaeological Society is searching for artifacts unearthed over the years by people around the province.
According to a CBC report, “The society has launched a project to find and record treasured items local people have found, then poked away in a closet or handed down from one generation to another.”
The society hopes to find artifacts, such as arrowheads, that can help piece together the province’s history, particularly before European settlement.
You can read more about this project in the CBC report.

I am perplexed about my X great grandfather who lived in Newfoundland before Quebec was founded. How can I find out more about him? I have O negative blood which is rare . I understand the Beothuks had O negative blood. Is there a connection? I have no family artifacts except my blood.
