Kelowna Public Archives receives Heritage Canada grant

Thanks to a $37,000 grant from Heritage Canada, the preservation of the Kelowna Public Archives’ old photos and historical documents in the Okanagan Heritage Museum has been extended by at least two decades.

The collection includes thousands of historic photographs of Kelowna and the Okanagan area, dating back to the late 1800s.

The Archives, located in downtown Kelowna, British Columbia, was facing a shortage of space. The grant, matched by the museum, will provide for the installation of a high-density mobile storage system.
