‘Volunteering Matters’ regional conference series in Quebec

The Quebec Anglophone Heritage Network (QAHN) invites leaders from Quebec’s non-profit community sector to attend one of at least five one-day conferences that are part of its 2016 Volunteering Matters regional conference series.

Each conference will feature workshops and practical information to help volunteers who serve non-profit organizations to tackle the challenge of recruiting, training, and motivating new generations of volunteers.

QAHN says, “Volunteering is at the heart of community life. Yet many heritage groups and other non-profits in English-speaking Quebec are failing to find and inspire a new generation of supporters.”

Workshops will be held in the following locations:
Morrin Centre, Quebec City, March 18, 2016.
Colby-Curtis Museum, Stanstead, April 15, 2016.
Wakefield Community Centre, Wakefield, May 20, 2016.
Musée de la Gaspésie, Gaspé, June 17, 2016.
Brome County Museum, Knowlton, September 23, 2016.

The fee is $35 for QAHN members and $45 for non-members. It includes three workshops, refreshments, and a luncheon.

Visit QAHN’s website for details about the workshops and registration.
