62 free Legacy Family Tree genealogy webinars scheduled for 2016

Millennia Corporation and FamilyTreeWebinars.com announced late last week that registration is now open for its 2016 Legacy Family Tree Webinar Series. They offer 62 free webinars on topics ranging from genealogy technology and DNA to in-depth research methodologies.

All live webinars are free and their recordings are free to watch for the first seven days.

While, not surprisingly, a number of webinars are about American genealogy, you are bound to find several webinars that will help you with your research. For example, there are webinars about French, German, Polish, and English genealogy research and about social history. (Sorry, no topics specific to Canada this year.)

Here examples of webinars offered:

Warren Bittner will present Proof Arguments — How to Write Them and Why They Matter on March 30.

On April 20, Jill Morelli will speak about Fire Insurance Maps — The Google Maps of Their Day.

Luana Darby will present Finding French Ancestors on July 15. “From Alsace-Lorraine to Paris and Huguenots to nobility, discover key resources for French research and techniques to meet challenges on both sides of the ocean.”

Kirsty Gray’s topic will be England and Wales – Rummaging in the Parish Chests on April 27.

The complete list of webinars and registration is available here. To learn more about the topic, hover your mouse over the webinar title. Click on the presenter’s name to read their bio.

You can register for one or all of them and you will receive a reminder email both one day and one hour prior to the live event.
