Dictionary of Canadian Biography creates new Acadian category

Christopher Moore, in his blog, Christopher Moore’s History News, writes that the online Dictionary of Canadian Biography has added (or recently noted) a new category, Acadians of the 19th and Early 20th Centuries, which he describes as “a substantial (anonymous) creation introducing and contextualizing all the Acadian-relevant biographies that were already available.”

The new Acadian category contains the following sections:

  • Rebuilding
  • Economic Adaptation
  • Religious Leaders
  • Elementary Education in French
  • Higher Education in French
  • Political Action
  • Communicating Ideas
  • Remembering the Past
  • The Nationalist Movement

    Gail,
Thanks. I’m of course familiar with Moore’s writing, but I didn’t know he had a blog. I today read a number of his articles, and would like to sign up. But I can’t figure out how to do it, aside from emailing him direct. Am I missing the obvious?

I cannot find if it is possible to sign up for email notifications of new posts. It does not appear to be possible. I recently discovered his blog and enjoy reading it.
